SBS completes Business Case assessment together with NCS operator

A business case for a complete system for subsea produced water management has been presented to a NCS operator in early December 2017. The DPS can be an enabler for asset area optimisation and the financial performance of the system is very promising.

Integration of the Dual Pipe Separator into the Produced Water Management System will efficiently enable subsea produced water separation resulting in;

• Increased Oil Recovery
• Accelerated Oil Production
• Reduces chemical exposure (Environmental Impact Factor)
• Reduced brownfield topside modification scope

The PWMS is a flexible solution to cater for a large variety of development opportunities – fully tested onshore, accessible for future tie-ins, and re-useable for other development projects

The main message is that the DPS & the PWMS is a good tool to enable debottlenecking and business development of subsea fields, and we have a clear plan of how to:

• Build tools to identify and assess opportunities
• Further develop, engineer, build and install the first PWMS
