Seabed Separation has been invited by several oil companies to participate in several case studies together with various engineering companies.
The table below is an example on such.
Unfortunately, none of these projects have been follow up due to commercial aspects.
The table shows that the interest for the DPS technology is a mix of Norwegian operators as well as international oil companies. The projects span from normal shallow water installation to deep water fields.
The DPS technology has an advantage on the deep-water fields due to its pipe design easy adaptable to high external pressure.
| Operator | Field | Description |
| AkerBP | Vilje/Skogull | Concept study together with Subsea 7 |
| Alvheim | Greater Area development. Concept study headed by AKSO with assistance from Subsea 7 and Seabed Separation | |
| Lundin | Rolvsnes | A DG 1 study produced and extended well test ongoing. The EWT results will be the trigger to install the DPS system. Rolvsnes host cannot receive the formation water due to H2S. |
| WintershallDEA | Nova | DG 1 study performed. Production start up delayed 23/24 which influence start of DPS DG2 study. |
| OKEA | Draugen | Concept study how to separate produced water at seafloor from the North and the South area prior to injection in an old oil producer |
| Jette | Concept study on the JETTE field with tie back to YME. Involved subsea tie-in of two adjacent reservoirs. Reinjection of separated water | |
| Petronas | Abu-Enau | DG 2 study performed by AKSO, FAST subsea and Seabed Separation. Project put on Hold due to uncertainties regarding well performance |
| Bestari | In cooperation with FAST subsea present a solution to separate the water for reinjection and use the FAST pump to increase the IOR. Involvement by AKSO in KL. | |
| CW-Icon | Together with AKSO presented a deep water solution for two different cases. Separation and reinjection of produced water. Long tie back and cold environment | |
| DBO Brasil | Gondolfo | Proposal to develop the Gondolfo field by instaling the DPS unit to separate water from one well to be able to drill and tie-in a new well Riser constrictions. |
| Equinor | Norne | Presented a proposal to tie-in some discoveries on the NORNE field using existing infrastructure |
| Åsgard | Gas condensate field with high volumes of water in the well stream. Evaluated separating the water from the condensate to avoid flooding of the Åsgard gas compression station. Equinor still studying solutions on how to solve the problem |
